Mary Ann Worsham Rumker

 

 

Mary Ann Worsham Rumker, 77, of Camilla, died Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Archbold

Memorial Hospital in Thomasville.

 

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 23 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with

interment in Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery.  Rev. Robert Lewis, Rev. Tom Newman, and

Rev. Stanley Smith will officiate.

 

Pallbearers include Roger Dale Watson, Kyle Singleton, Tyler Brookshire, Scott Wooten,

Chris Worsham, Derrick Towe, Bradley Mealer, Kevin Christie, and Matthew Watts.

 

Born October 1, 1932 in Mitchell County, Mrs. Rumker was the daughter of the late George

Washington and Nora Mae Rogers Wisham.  She was preceded in death by husbands, Odis

Singleton, Sr. and James Burtz;  a sister, Sue Sampson;  and a step-son, Chris Rumker. 

Mrs. Rumker was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.  She was an

amazing woman who will be missed, but remembered by all.

 

Survivors include her husband, Christopher Rumker of Camilla;  four sons, Odis Singleton &

wife, Donna, of Marietta, Phillip Singleton of Calhoun, Randy Singleton of Pelham, and Dennis

Singleton & wife, Lisa, of Cocoa Beach, FL;  two daughters, Cathy Knowles & husband, John,

of Camilla and Teresa Carver & husband, Stanley, of Calhoun;  a brother, Larry Worsham &

wife, Janice, of Vada;  16 grandchildren, Julie, Kara, Leah, Kyle, Christy, April, Melissa, Missy,

Crystal, Ashley, Jennifer, Emily, Alicia, Lorie, Samantha, and Amanda;  and 17 great

grandchildren, Kayla, Alex, Kingston, William, Tyler, Hannah, Grant, Lane, Jordan, Brook,

Owen, Jailyn, Will, Lee, Brett, Jacob, and Alyssa.

 

Visitation will be from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday, July 22 at Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home.

 

Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.
