Obituary for Glenn Olin Donnelly

Glenn Olin Donnelly, 67, of Camilla, died Saturday, June 24, 2017, at Archbold Hospital in Thomasville.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 26, at First Presbyterian Church in Camilla with Miley Adams officiating. The music will be provided by Chuck and Kate Von Glahn.

Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Adams, Clint Gilchrist, Dawson Gowan, Matt Joiner, Russ Joiner, Taylor Rigsby, Jay Warren and Sam Warren.

Glenn was born on January 29, 1950, in Thomasville and grew up in Pelham. After graduating from Pelham High School, he graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.S. in Animal Science. He served four years in the U.S. Army. Following school and service, he ran a successful tile business in Savannah before returning to Mitchell County and working in Public Health Service.

Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Emily Dixon Donnelly of Camilla; his mother, Beth Little Cunningham of Camilla; his children, Chris Donnelly (Nancy) of Atlanta, Courtney Sierra (Greg) of Fayetteville, NC and Carrie Donnelly of Atlanta; step-children Tara Dixon of Los Angeles, CA, Ray Dixon III (Lacy) of Valdosta and Holli McGahee (Michael) of Camilla; his grandchildren, Blake Donnelly, Kayla Bennett, Delaney Kellum, Morgan Sierra, Ashton Donnelly, Canaan Donnelly, Avery Sierra, Cameron Donnelly, Baylor Donnelly, Mary Bennett Dixon, Bubba Dixon, Rigsby Dixon, Abigail Dixon, and Hope Davis; and great-grandchildren, Lawson and Leighton Chesser.
He was preceded in death by his father, Milton Donnelly of Savannah.

The family will receive guests at the Donnelly home (6430 Hwy 97) on Sunday, June 25, from 4:00-6:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mitchell-Baker Service Center, 65 Industrial Blvd, Camilla, Ga. 31730.

Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
