Obituary for Sammie Will Brown

Sammie Will Brown, 50, of Newton died Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 7 at Travelers Rest Freewill Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. Rev. David Wolfe and Rev. James Sanders will officiate.

Born November 20, 1967 in Calhoun County, Mr. Brown was the son of Lula Geneave Duke Brown Finnicum and the late Robert Earl Brown. He was preceded in death by siblings, Harvey Foy Henderson, Robert Eugene Henderson, and Darlene Huffmaster. He was a truck driver, having worked for JCB Trucking in Pelham. Mr. Brown was a member of Travelers Rest Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors include his mother, Gene Finnicum (John) of Albany; his wife, Teresa Addison of Newton; three brothers, Robert Brown of Ashford, AL, Danny Earl Brown of Ashford, AL, Billy Joe Brown of Ashford, AL; two sisters, Peggy Sue Scott of Ashford, AL and Maryjane Trotter of Houston, TX.; 7 step-children and 12 step-grandchildren; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be from 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 6 at Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home in Camilla.

Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
