Obituary for Waymon Glenn Cross

Waymon Glenn Cross, 82, of Hopeful passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018 at
Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 13 at Hopeful Baptist
Church with interment in the church cemetery. Rev. Ronnie Kinsaul and Rev.
Clay Cloud will officiate.

Born November 12, 1935 in Mitchell County, Mr. Cross was the son of the
late James Ralph Cross and Caudie Martin Cross. He was the 9th child of
13. Mr. Cross graduated from Hopeful High School and earned a two year
degree in Business Administration at Georgia Southwestern College in
Americus. He married Lillian Frances Hays on June 3, 1955. Mr. Cross was
a photographer and co-owner of Frans Frames, a picture framing shop. He
was a member of Hopeful Baptist Church. Mr. Cross was a beloved husband,
father, grandfather, great grandfather and great great grandfather.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Cross of Hopeful; two daughters,
Cathy Griffin of Hopeful and Sherry Kelly (Robert) of Americus; five
grandchildren, Tiffany Leverette (Ray) of Nebraska, Kendra Watson of
Thomasville, Robert Kelly III of East Ridge, TN, Craig Kelly of Americus,
Glen Kelly of Ball Ground, GA; eleven great grandchildren, Beth, Dianna,
Katelyn, Angel, Timothy, Hannah, Adam, Rebekah, Rachel, Josiah, Robert IV,
and one great great grandson, Calvin; one sister, Rachel Whitehead
(James) of Dothan, AL; one brother, Vance Cross (Martha) of Atlanta;
several sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews; and special friends
of the family, Mary Martin, Andrew OShea, and Charlie Redding.

Visitation will be from 6 8 p.m. Monday, March 12 at Parker-Bramlett
Funeral Home in Camilla.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St.
Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, Shriners Home for Children, Samaritans
Purse, Hopeful Baptist Church Building Fund, 2740 River Road, Camilla, GA
31730, or the charity of your choice.
