Obituary for Frances Pauline Land

Frances Pauline Winningham Land, 92, of Camilla died Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Mitchell Convalescent Center in Camilla.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 28 at Travelers Rest Freewill Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. Rev. David Wolfe will officiate.

Born May 9, 1925 in Campbell County, Tennessee, Mrs. Land was the daughter of the late James Garland Winningham and Mamie Hodge Winningham. She was married to the late William Land. Mrs. Land was a homemaker and worked as a food processor. She was a member of Travelers Rest Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors include daughters, Brenda Ford (Ernest) of Clinton, TN and Sandra Jefferies (Jack) of Tampa, FL; two sons, Sanford Collins (Claudette) of Arcadia, IN and Tommy Collins (Robin) of Herington, KS; step-daughter, Vivian Blood of Lodi, CA; brothers, James G. Winningham, Jr. of St. Paul, MN and Thomas Winningham of West VA; eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10 – 11 a.m. Wednesday, before services, at Travelers Rest Freewill Baptist Church in Newton.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southwest Georgia, 114-A Mimosa Drive, Thomasville, GA 31792.

Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
