Obituary for Juanita Cox

Juanita Pollock Cox, 85, of Bainbridge died Friday, March 30, 2018 at Memorial Manor in Bainbridge.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. Rev. Jamie McMillan and Rev. Kimm Whitehead will officiate.

Serving as pallbearers will be Rusty Poitevint, Jason Cox, Timmy Cox, Hollis Cox, Jr., Dennis Cox and Obey Salter.

Born October 15, 1932 in Mitchell County, she was the daughter of the late Floyd Cox, Sr. and Stella M. Singleton Cox. Mrs. Cox formerly worked at Darwood Mfg. Company for 25 years and was a homemaker. She attended Oak Grove Christian Church near Vada. She was preceded in death by the children’s father, Robert D. Pollock; one son, Cary Pollock; two daughters, Judith Elaine Pollock and Inez Miller and her granddaughter, Kim McMillan.

Survivors include two daughters, Glenda Pollock VanHousen (Allen) of Bainbridge and Peggy Pollock Dixon of Sylvester; three sons, Melton Pollock (Kay) of Pelham, James E. Pollock of Brinson and Keith Pollock of Pelham; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Monday, April 2, 2018 at Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, South Georgia Region, 225 East Second Street, Tifton, Ga. 31794.
